Professional chimney sweeping We place protective drop clothes, in the immediate area of the fireplace. We use a professional dust control system to prevent dust from settling on the furniture or draperies. Remove, removable dampers scrub flue with a brush of the proper size attached to flexible fiberglass extension rods. Brush smoke chamber, clear smoke shelf (remove ash, soot, creosote from shelf). Remove debris from firebox.
Level 1 inspection A visual inspection of the existing firebox, damper, smoke chamber, accessible flue tiles, flashing, exposed chimney chase, crown and cap.
Level 2 inspection sweep chimney, visual inspection of the existing firebox and damper, video inspection of the smoke chamber and the flue, horizontal and vertical video taping of the flue system. visual inspection of the exposed chimney chase, crown and cap.
Level 3 inspection level 2 plus inspection of concealed areas of the chimney system. (This involves physically removing paneling, dry wall, siding, etc.)
